Why we are doing this?

Because this war in Ukraine is a test for our humanity, collective and individual. Because it is important to practise togetherness and to keep our hearts open — as the evil will fade and the good will come, the creation always beats destruction.

Also because we are a group of artists — music, film, design — rooted in the independent electronic music scene. Rave culture is built on principles of freedom and love and the real underground music is political. We feel our responsibility to get involved on a local level and encourage actions which help to stop the war and aid people affected, those who flee the country and those who stay. We played DJ sets and we partied in Kyiv, we are engaged with the Ukrainian music and media community, so this tragedy hits directly into our hearts.

Anna Bogomolova, is a director behind Blitzkickers, Amsterdam video production agency within music, art and fashion. But Anna is also Ukrainian. While her sister and nephew are staying in her Amsterdam house, the rest of the family and countless friends are in Ukraine. The pain is real, so is the need for action.
